Product Description:

The microbial limit filtration system (device) is based on the principle of membrane filtration and forms a complete microbial filtration system with open filters. To achieve microbial retention through negative pressure filtration. Mainly used for microbial detection in various media such as water quality, drugs, and food, as well as cultivation and particle removal in the laboratory. It has the characteristics of being less prone to contamination during operation and easy to clean.

F250 filter cup, valve, stainless steel base, discharge interface, vacuum pump

Microporous filter membrane: diameter 47mm, pore size 045um

3. Assembly

Take a stainless steel base and place a filter plate. Take a rubber tube and connect one end to the discharge interface of the host, and the other end to the waste liquid loading device. Thus, a complete microbial filtration system was assembled.

4. Using

Assemble the above system on an ultra clean workbench or other clean environment that meets the requirements. Before use, priority should be given to checking whether the connection between the stainless steel base and the waste liquid pumping host is intact. Disinfect the stainless steel filter plate with a flame spray gun, close the shut-off valve, lay the filter membrane flat on the stainless steel filter plate, fasten the filter cup, pour in the liquid to be filtered, start the power supply of the waste liquid pump, open the shut-off valve, and the sample in the filter cup will flow out directly through the discharge outlet of the body, separating the microorganisms in the sample and trapping them on the filter membrane. After filtration, remove the filter cup and transfer the microporous filter membrane to specific conditions for cultivation.

Carefully remove the filter membrane with sterile forceps and place its front (filter surface) flat on the surface of the culture medium.

5. Cleaning

After filtration, the filter cup should be cleaned in a timely manner. It can be soaked in water containing neutral detergent, and then wiped with a soft cloth material (steel wire balls or other equipment that may scratch the plastic cup should not be used). Rinse thoroughly and air dry naturally. If the filtered medium contains positive control bacteria, the filter needs to be disinfected with damp heat before cleaning.

6. Precautions

6.1. Before filtering the medium, the fixing ring of the stainless steel base on the filter cup should be checked for looseness. If it is loose, it needs to be tightened.

6.2. The disinfection temperature applicable to the transparent cup body should not exceed 130 ℃, otherwise it may cause deformation and damage. After repeated high-temperature and high-pressure disinfection and cleaning, the transparency may decrease. If it affects the experimental operation, it is recommended to replace the cup body with a new one.

6.3. Any mechanical impact (drop, collision) or improper use may cause damage to the product. It is recommended to operate with caution and follow the terms of the manual during use.

6.4. This device is not suitable for filtering the following media:

a) Strong acid;

b) Strong alkali;

c) Strong oxidizing agent;

d) Other types of organic solvents that are incompatible with the chemical properties of materials such as cups.

7. If using this filter for sterilization testing, a dedicated recovery tube needs to be equipped.

8. It is strictly prohibited to disinfect the entire machine with high-pressure steam
